Martello Tower
Poem at Speed series
Sitting in circles Plate spinning, star spinning world. Consider the seamlessness, A shrouded sky and a silken sea. Wind breathes, hollows, holds its breath Shingle seethes and sighs. Souls sit in the sunset People of the distance, Sailors, soldiers, watchers, deadmen. Open the window and let in the tide, The soft heave of light water to clear your mind. In this surround sound I am stone safe.
